July 2013: Blue Jean Baby
I'll have to find a good picture of these jeans because they are the best jeans. Ever.
Featuring a side zip, super high rise to the bellybutton, and a cropped leg. No pockets, meaning your butt will look insanely good. DAMN!
Outfit:
70s polyester sleevless polo, no label
Modern Jeans, 'Daisy' by Neuw - the photo doesn't show, but these are a classic denim blue.

Inspiration: Penelope Tree
I've awoke to a beautiful sunny morning today, and there is something about the warmth of the sun that always makes me want to break out into flower-powered, mod-squad insanity!
So in ode to a sunny day enjoy some images of one of my favourite 60s models, Penelope Tree.

January 2013: Sweet Little Rock'n'Roller
I have recreated this outfit on numerous occasions. The shorts are just ugly enough that they look like they could be from the 50s. I'm not hugely into jewellery, but I find that often I can replace a cravat with a statement piece.
The day I wore this particular rendition I got snapped by Street and City Photos. You can see their professional snap (and intrigue about one of my tattoos) here.

October 2012: Psychedelic Persuasion
I have a love affair with psychedelic paisley that started many years ago as a pre-teen op-shopper.
There used to be a shop on Cuba St, Wellington, called Superfly. I would go there and spend my pocket money on garish 70s handkerchief tops, to later be ridiculed my my classmates.
Needless to say, the joy I experienced in those swirling patterns has yet to be subdued!

The first post:
I am a lady who chooses to wear vintage everyday. Style is so simple; it is my aim with Retro Rendezvous to highlight the ease of which one can incorporate an air of the past into a modern life.
This will be a snapshot of my life - of myself. My photos will initially be backdated, so be patient!
